Abstract

In general, usury is divided into two types.First, usury in the loan contract (al-duyun usury) or usury nasi'Aah (surplus value that is imposed due to delayed payment), also known as al-Qur'an usury. Second, usury in the exchange contract (al-buyu’usury) or al-fadl usury, also known as al-Sunnah usury. The prohibiting of usury is through a process or gradual, not necessarily let alone suddenly.At first Allah warned of the bad effects of usury practice,Allah shows that usury is negative described in the letter al-Rum: 39.Mufassir generally believes the form of usury in the verse is interpreted to mean the gift / gift given with the aim of getting more than the amount given,and here there has been no prohibition but only a negative explanation. Furthermore, the form of usury in the surah an-Nisa: 160-161 also does not provide a strict prohibition on the practice of usury,but Allah only gives the forbidden usury by giving criticism.The prohibition of usury is clearly stated in the surah Ali Imran: 30, but the prohibition is also not comprehensive.The new prohibiting only against usury jahiliyah doubled.So finally with the descent of Surat al-Baqarah: 275-279 this is the top finish of prohibiting usury, which is forbidden usury whether in small or large amounts.
